It was a hard situation for myself when I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease at the age of 16. However it was a relief for my family and I, considering I had years of a hampered lifestyle from discomfort to my daily energy levels. My emotions took me to dark places, which I look back and am now very thankful for the support of my loved ones. The challenge for me was to change my eating habits after so many years of leading a lifestyle of choice.

With the assistance of a dietician and my parents, I was able to change my mind set and eating habits. It still continues to be hard, but now there are more choices as the community demands more choice of Gluten Free foods, such as Melbourne’s Gluten Free 4 U.
