5 Gluten Free Breakfast Ideas

Breakfast during the week is a no-brainer for most people. When they are hustling to get ready for work they simply grab a box of cereal, a couple of rusks or a slice of yummy toast for a quick meal before they hop off to work.  The only time the biggest part of the population does give breakfast some thought is either when they want to impress someone or when it is weekend and they actually have the time to make a great tasting breakfast.

For those that follow the gluten-free lifestyle, breakfast isn’t nearly as simple.  If you are battling to find gluten-free breakfast ideas when you still haven’t had your coffee and are hustling and bustling to get to work then you can definitely consider these 5 gluten-free breakfasts that you can make in advance.

Breakfast egg muffins

This is a pretty simple idea that contains plenty of protein, vitamins and is packed with energy so you will feel boosted the moment you step out the door.  The best part is that you can make your breakfast egg muffins differently each and every time because you can create a wide range of combinations for a different taste.  The main ingredient of breakfast egg muffins is – you guessed it – whisked eggs with light seasoning. Add any types of extras you may have in the fridge like bacon, spinach, tomatoes, onions and whatever else usually sounds good in omelets.  Topped with a bit of cheese and pour into cupcake tins. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes at 180 degrees. You can make these muffins in advance or you can make the mix in advance and simply pop it into the oven the next morning while you are getting ready for work.

Gluten-free toasties

Another easy breakfast idea is by getting gluten free bread that you can toast.  Toast your bread and add any gluten-free topping like a good butter, cheese spread or anything else that usually goes well with sandwiches. Gluten free toasties are easy to make and it is a no-brainer for those days where you just don’t have the time to cook.

Gluten free Croissant breakfast

Croissants are an incredible food product.  These tasty treats can be frozen for a very long time and can be used whenever you like.  Stock up on gluten free croissants and make your own croissant french breakfast whenever you need something extra tasty.  Croissants can be combined with so many different toppings. You can add chocolate, jam, cream, apples, blueberry. The combinations are endless.

Gluten free donuts

Donuts are the perfect any day breakfast.  They are delicious and so easy to grab and munch on when you are on your way to work.  You can make your own gluten free donuts in your leisure or spare time. Alternatively, you can simply shop and buy some great tasting ready made gluten free donuts from an online or brick and mortar store and save yourself heaps of time.

Banana blender pancake breakfast

Pancakes are not the quickest breakfast to make but they are a favourite of so many people.  Pancakes can be made with mashed bananas, gluten free baking powder, and eggs. The ingredients couldn’t be easier and these pancakes do taste great with a dash of maple syrup – yum.

The gluten free way of living might be slightly tougher and more time consuming than other lifestyle choices but it can still be just as delicious.
